Exceptional are the different views in the hotel. The architecture of the building allows every space in the complex to have the same breathtakingly postcard view over the city of Porto. The construction resembles to the terraces of the Douro valley. The gastronomic restaurant in the hotel is about wine and food, hospitality and luxury.

The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from General Torres Station and a 10-minute walk from the Douro River. The wine experience also extends to the SPA with its programme of exclusive Caudalie Vinothérapie treatments. There is a large indoor pool and hot tub offering panoramic views of Oporto. The 10 treatment rooms offer a full range of beauty and wellness programmes, while the relaxation area has a Roman bath, sauna, hammam and shower experience. The Grape Bath barrel bath experience has been designed for its calming and conditioning effects. The outdoor panoramic pool was built in a wine bottle shape and has stunning views over the city and a stylish pool lounge bar.

In an atmosphere that mixes comfort and classical heritage furniture with a spectacular view, chef Ricardo Costa guarantees all guests with an unforgettable dining experience. Traditional flavours of Portugal are interpreted and served with a creative and contemporary touch. His imaginative cuisine brings the very best of Portugal’s produce into his creative dishes. His dishes always respect the best of Portuguese culinary tradition. Top-quality Portuguese fresh ingredients and off course a lot of fish are interpreted and presented with a contemporary look.

The Yeatman offers the ultimate wine experience. The cellars are home to one of the most impressive collections of Portuguese wines in Europe. The hotel has established partnerships with most of Portugal’s finest producers and partner wineries are also attributed to individual rooms and suites. Pictures and objects provide insights into each winery’s unique history and add a discreet individual accent to each of the hotel’s guest room. In the restaurant there is an exclusive pairing with each tasting menus. The Yeatman’s sommeliers allow guests to discover a play between matching and contrasting flavours. They take you on a journey through Portugal’s diverse and varied wine regions. A special wine dinners program is organised every Thursday night, showcasing each time another wine producer. During these dinners the chef matches his flavourful dishes and desserts to the aromas of the selected wines. Each course is tailor-made for each wine.

We started the ‘Chef’s Special Menu’ with a big line up of refined snacks & bites.

Lolly with chicken oyster, crispy potato, chicken mayo and mustard.

Crispy corn, chicken foam and chilli.

Crispy vitello tonato with a sashimi of tuna, anchovy and veal crust.

Sandwich with tuna toro, wasabi mayonnaise and ruccola.

Marinated prawns with guacamole.

Crab shell with avocado and a bloody mary crab cocktail.

Tomato tartar, molecular version of mozzarella cheese and cucumber tagliatelle

Menu:

Amberjack from the Azoren in ceviche with kumquat and sweet corn.

Red mullet with a fish sauce, cuttlefish

Terrine of pork on bottom, crisp of seaweed

Turbot, green beans, dried garlic, pitau sauce (hometown sauce from the chef) and fish consommé with fish liver.

Crustaceans, curry puree and coconut broth.

Cauliflower pastry

Suckling pig and chanterelles with fermented onions

Veal tenderloin with cured ham, bean stew sauce and black pudding.

Textures of nectarine with mascarpone ice-cream, a vanilla cream and saffron.
