The World’s 50 Best Restaurants (including full list with links)

Today the new “World’s 50 best restaurant list” has been announced in the prestigious “Guildhall” in London.

World NUMBER ONE is again “NOMA” in Copenhagen. Congratulations to Rene Redzepi and his team! We especially congratulate also sous-chef Yanninck and welcome him soon in Antwerp!

Other remarkable movements:

• The top 3 stays.
• Hof Van Cleve our Belgian proud is now at seat 42, coming from 15. But honestly, we Belgians are still very proud on our top destination!
• One to watch award: La Grenouillère in Montreuil France
• Oud Sluis from Sergio at number 21
• De Librije in Zwolle at 33.
• Highest new entry is Dinner in London from Heston Blumenthal.
• Highest climb with a climb of 20 places, the Ledbury in London to place 14
• The non-star rated funky restaurant Le Chateaubriand in Paris has now position 15 instead of 9. Still well done!
• No French restaurant in the top10! Highest ranked is L’atelier Saint Germain de Joël Robuchon at number 12.
• New entry at 49: Geranium, Copenhagen-Denmark. Absolutely well deserved!

The to watch list from 51 to 100:

• On number 75 the great bistronomie spot “Relæ” in Copenhagen, former sous chef of Noma.
• An other Bistronomie adress after Chateaubriand brings “Septime” in Paris to rank nr 87!
• Place 92 has been awarded to Belgium’s future Chef to watch: Kobe Desramaults from In De Wulf. Kobe recently opened also his Bistronomie spot in Ghent, “De Vitrine”.
